WiFit is a fitness app for logging food, water, body weight, workouts and supplements, with an optional AI coach called Gym Buddy. This policy explains what information WiFit collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. "WiFit", "we" and "us" mean the WiFit app and its operator. Questions: privacy@wifit.app.
Your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form; we never see them in plain text.
Name, birth date, sex, height, weight, current activity level, your goal and goal rate, your weekly activity plan, and the daily calorie and macro targets calculated from them. Your birth date is used to check that you're old enough to use WiFit and to apply rules for users under 18.
Food and nutrition entries (including saved foods and meals), water, body weight, workout plans and sessions with their sets, workout notes, supplements, doses and reminders.
Injuries, limitations and available equipment, if you choose to fill them in. You decide separately whether Gym Buddy may use them.
The messages you send Gym Buddy and its replies. We also record when you send a request (not its content) to apply fair-use limits.
Anything you send us by email or through TestFlight feedback, including screenshots you choose to attach.
WiFit does not use advertising identifiers, does not track you across other apps or websites, and contains no third-party analytics or advertising software.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
Gym Buddy is powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Before your first message, WiFit asks for your permission. When you then send Gym Buddy a message, your message and the context it needs to help you are sent through our server to Anthropic to generate the reply. That context can include your profile basics (such as goal, activity level and targets), recent entries from your logs, your workout plans, and your health and training profile only if you have turned on sharing for it.
Anthropic processes this information to provide the service to us, under its commercial terms. See Anthropic's privacy policy. You can withdraw permission at any time in WiFit under Settings › AI data sharing; Gym Buddy will then ask again before sending anything. Gym Buddy chat is not available to users under 18.
Gym Buddy's suggestions are general fitness and nutrition information, not medical advice.
Information from Apple Health is used only to provide WiFit's features to you. It is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, never sold, and never shared with third parties for those purposes. Records you import become part of your WiFit log and are handled like your other WiFit data.
If you connect your account with a personal trainer who uses our trainer app, TrainerHQ, the information you agree to share becomes visible to that trainer, and the plans, targets and notes your trainer sets become visible to you. You can disconnect at any time. Connecting to a trainer never creates a trainer account for you.
We share information only with service providers that run WiFit on our behalf, with your trainer if you connect one, or when required by law:

Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before it is overwritten. You can also email privacy@wifit.app to ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion.
WiFit is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Users aged 13 to 17 see only maintain and gain goals (no weight-loss targets), and Gym Buddy chat is turned off for them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Information is sent over encrypted connections. Each account can access only its own data, enforced in our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to or limit some uses. You can use the in-app controls above or contact us; we'll respond within the time the law requires. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
WiFit's data is stored in the United States. If you use WiFit from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before the changes take effect.
